Venue;
   We are very excited to announce This fall we will return to  at Classic RC Raceways in Akron Ohio.   Classic RC is a year round RC racing facility that features four challenging  tracks; asphalt oval, clay oval, off road, and indoor carpet.  Classic RC will be hosting us in their carpet racing facility.  This facility includes a 45 x 90 foot racing area, plenty of 2 x 8 pit tables prewired with AC outlets, concessions stand, and a RC proshop.

   HORD will be in the indoor facility while Classic RC Raceways holds their fall offroad Pro series.  We are expecting a big spectator turnout, so bring your A-game.  Robot builders using FM transmitters may need to share frequencies with the race drivers.

  Please note Classic RC's main build is difficult to see from the road.  The facily is on the south side of East Waterloo inbetween George Washington BLVD and Hibish Ave.

  Registration fees for this event will be $18 in advance (no refund) or $20 at the door.  Advance payments can be made by paypal to; registration

or a check payable to;

Chris Olin
2893 Colony Woods Circle SW
Canton, OH. 44706

  Include in payment team name and number and class of robots attending.

Paper work

  You will need to fill out the ORC Safety Form for each robot attending.  You will also need to fill out one Release Form for every team member requiring a pit pass.    Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by the parent or guardian who signed the release form.   Bring completed forms with you to the event.

Arena

Fleas, Ants and Beetles will run in the ORC 4’ x 8’ arena.  Halfway through a match two 14" x 14" pits will open.

Rule set

  This event will comply with the 2010 RFL Extensible Technical Regulations.  This rule set has been adapted for this competition per RFL guide lines.  Read rules completely before registering a robot.

Tournament Structure

  For weight classes with 6 or less robots we will fight a full round robin.  Classes with 7 or more robots we will fight a modified double elimination.  Due to time constraints, the final round will be single elimination; if the winner's bracket finalist is beat by the looser's bracket finalist there will not be a rematch. Currently it is expected that Ants and Beetles will exceed 8 bots.  Fleas will most likely will be much smaller and fight round robin.

 Rumbles and grudge matches will be held if there is sufficient interest.  Builderes who's robots have been eliminated are encouraged to stay for rumbles.

Lunch

Classic RC Raceways has a small concessions stand that sells hotdogs, chips, and soda.  There are also a number of local restaurants to choos from.
